Pop Art

It is an art movement which started in the USA & Britain in 1950s.Pop Art is influenced by popular culture and city life and its visual expressions.

These are my favourite ones:

I really like this one because it shows that also some small unusual things can change
the colour and that from little things is made the beauty of this world.
You can really see how the goodness shines!
Also I love the USA so I enjoy looking at New York at this picture even more  =)

I think that Richard Ryan made an amazing decision when he decided to
join reality and fantasy into one picture. It looks really funky and it is so colourful.
I must say that the little rabbits are just cute.

I definitely love this picture of Los Angeles. Apart from it is my facourite city I love the different
views and the way it expresses it. It seems like the red colour would whisper that something deep
 and meaningful is happening in...

My Kitsch

In general kitsch things can be described in more ways. Mostly they are colourful, mixed with different   styles but also sentimental or banal.

Here are two of my favourite kitsch thingies:

This is my stuffed dog Alex. He is the best partner for sleeping and hugging something during the night.
Though he is a little bit kitschy doggie I admit I love him and I always will no matter what.
 :*
It is an amazing thing to have someone to sleep at and spend the night with.

This is the   from the last place where we have been on the summer holidays.
We have many of them at out fridge but I picked just this because it brings me so many beautiful
memories and it is pretty kitschy. My aunt collects these and has special wall for them. I am more into collecting postcards and I think they also can be kitschy. But I love it and I think it is a great way of collecting memories not only in the mind and heart.

This is my own creation :)
I tried to put some deeper idea inside. It symbolizes a heart who is helping another heart
and it makes love. It also means that the pain is not as big when there is someone else to dry our tears.
I made it kitschy - the sad heart is only grey- black but the helping happy heart has many colours.
It looks a little bit crazy but crazy things are great because they are creative and funny.
